If you're anything like me, you grew up in the same house for most of your childhood, you lived in student housing for a while, then a house with roommates, on your own, and then finally with your significant other.  While different chapters of our life are marked by different houses, which eventually fade away into memory, the houses that we turn into homes - even for a short period of time - forever hold a chunk of our hearts.  When Danielle & Matt decided that a move out of the Wallingford neighborhood was the best thing for them, they had to let go of the apartment house that they had made a home for many years.  It was small but cozy and filled with tons and tons of natural light.  The staircase to the upper landing to access their apartment is one of the prettiest indoor locations I've ever been able to photograph inside of.  It was very special to me to be able to document some of their last memories inside their adorable home in Wallingford.

Portrait sessions like this are a great reminder for me as to how important photography is and should be to everyone.  Moving on, starting new chapters of life and letting our homes turn back into houses as we move on to the next adventure is part of life.  I'm so thankful that I got a chance to create some images for this adorable pair as they prepared for their next chapter together.
