These Brides Wore Matching Black Jumpsuits at their Seattle Elopement

Get ready for an overwhelming amount of cuddles! Sarah & Kate traveled to Seattle to say “I do” in style. They wore matching black jumpsuits for their ceremony!

I love intimate weddings and how the small nature of them allows couples to really focus on being present on the day of the wedding. The couple isn’t being pulled in different directions by caterers, well-intentioned family members, or a timeline that keeps moving along even if they need a break.

Sarah, Kate & I started our day in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood for some wonderful engagement-style portraits. They wanted to capture images together that didn’t say “wedding” prior to the kickoff of the nuptials and it was a blast exploring a bit of the Ballard neighborhood with these two. We even found a Pride flag in a window that matched Kate’s rainbow sunglasses!

Following our time in Ballard we headed to my studio near Pioneer Square in downtown Seattle for their ceremony and some portraits in this bright white space, followed by a stroll around the neighborhood in their wedding outfits. We had so much time for portraits throughout the day and I loved the chance to be creative and relaxed with both of them.

I have photographed wedding jumpsuits before but not two brides in matching black jumpsuits. Against the all-white walls in the studio their wedding look popped and had such classic contrast. I hope you’ll scroll all the way through these images to see the film shots scattered throughout the post, as well as some photos taken with an experimental film that produces a light leak effect. The experimental film shots are some of my favorites from the day!

Thank you to the Seattle Elopement Package vendors that teamed up to help another wonderful couple celebrate their intimate wedding in style. Ray Van Winkle performed a beautiful ceremony (as always) and Anthera Floral really knocked our socks off with those colorful bouquets that were coordinated but not too matchy. Thank you also to Root Plants in Ballard for letting us use your space for our photography!

Our vendor team was amazing!
